One Story a Day for Science: Book 3 for March

Leonard Judge is a teacher, writer, and editor with more than 25 years in the publishing industry. His work has appeared in numerous national and international magazines and newspapers. He taught in northern Canada for a number of years and was Supervisor for Curriculum Development for an Indigenous school board in northern Quebec for four years. He has a B.A. and a B.Ed. from Queen's University and is a longtime member of the Professional Writers Association of Canada.

Kara Cybanski has a PhD in Spanish literature with a focus on women in the early 20th century from the University of Ottawa and intends to teach in comparative literature or a similar university program. She completed her Master's in World Literatures and Cultures and an Honours Bachelor of Spanish with a Minor in Rédaction professionnelle et édition, also at the University of Ottawa.

For more than three decades, Margaret Hoogeveen has helped create classroom resources for students (K to 12) and professional development resources for teachers. She has authored or edited countless publications in the areas of language arts, science, mathematics, social studies, geography, and history, as well as multiple online resources. She has two degrees, one for English Literature from the University of Toronto and one for Education from Ontario Tech University. Besides loving her work, Margaret enjoys reading, dancing, sailing, gardening, and solving puzzles.

Erin Mercer is a children's book illustrator living in Nova Scotia, Canada, where she also produces greeting cards and fine art for artisan markets. She has even worked for Canadian video game studios! Her colourful, whimsical aesthetic focuses on characters and storytelling, and she loves to inject humour into her work. She mixes traditional and digital media, merging her background in fine arts and concept art. She enjoys an active lifestyle, cooking, attending live theatre, and traveling, all of which influence her artwork.

Meredith Luce was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario. She graduated as an honours student from Algonquin College's Graphic Design program. Meredith has a passion for illustration and creativity. She has published many books as an illustrator and designer. Currently, she runs Luce Ends, a design studio in Kemptville, Ontario.
