A special publication and promotional piece to celebrate the launch of a new range of papers (named 'Inuit'), the paper company known as Arjowiggins has " . . . commissioned a new typeface also called 'Inuit' inspired by the evocative forms and personality of the Inuktitut alphabet, used by the Inuit, native people of eastern and northern Canada. (This small book) shows how it grew from the germ of an idea into a fully fledged font . . . A collaboration between Arjowiggins, design agency Blast and typographer Jeremy Takard." This promotional piece is illustrated throughout in b/w and in color, showing this whole process. Includes the text of a traditional Inuit folk tale in English, using this new type font. The book is a small hardcover that measures approx. 5'" x 6" with 29 pages. Embossed covers. The 'sewing' of the binding (in zig-zag red thread) is exposed and visible along the front and back part of the spine and functions as a decorative element. Most of the pages are only printed on one side and are still connected at their fore-edges which makes for double thick pages. White covers show some soil marks, but contents are pristine. Not only does this book highlight this new typeface but also the papers and design of the Arjowiggins Paper Company. SALE PRICE.
