The “Story of My Life” is an introspective journaling tool that assists individuals with identifying both, healthy and unhealthy patterns in their behavior in hopes of restoring a positive sense of self. According to Channing Clark, author, and licensed clinical professional counselor, self-discovery journaling can contribute to life enhancement. It is important to intentionally “check-in” with others to see how they are feeling emotionally because it shows compassion for others. It’s even more important to show that same compassion to yourself.

With the Story of My Life Journal, individuals are able to ask themselves, “how am I feeling today?” Each journal entry is based on a daily “check-in,” asking questions to help pull out how you really feel in that moment and recognize if something needs to be addressed. Speak to your inner voice. Specifically in conversation with others, asking the right questions, at the right time, can help someone seek within themselves to find the answer to what they are looking for. This journal seeks to guide the reader through their internal processes such as their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors - like in therapy. However, It is recommended that readers use journals along with a mental health professional to enhance the process. How to use “Story of My Life” Journal
