The Story of Passover

Discover the story of the first Passover in this classic board book that is perfect for little ones curious about the meaning of the Passover celebration.

For thousands of years, Jewish people have gathered during Passover to celebrate God's love and protection. Here, Rabbi Francis Barry Silberg explains this ancient event in a manner so simple, even the youngest child will understand. Focusing on Moses, the story tells of the plagues, Pharaoh’s reactions, and finally, the Passover itself and the exodus of the Hebrews from Egypt. Parents can use this book as a way to introduce children to the concept and events of one of the most significant holidays in the Jewish tradition.

Rabbi Silberg is rabbi emeritus of Congregation Emanu-El B'ne Jeshurun in River Hills, Wisconsin, and a retired professor from the University of Wisconsin. He is president of the Silberg Center for Comparative Studies. Rabbi Silberg lives in Milwaukee.
