2 volumes of book 17 totalling 875 pages. Stereotype edition, Greek text. Blind stamps of Unitarian Missionary College Rome and a small circular ink stamp date 1846 both on edge of the title pages, hardly obtrusive. Volume 2 lacks top board, bound in 19th century half calf marbled boards. These worn also. Contents and text very good+ Small pocket size, but bound in 8's. [Here on ABEbooks t'would be 16 mo!! Incorrectly. Size is NOT the prerequisite for "sizing"]. *Turkish born & died there. Greek speaking figure who lived about 65BC-29AD at the height of Rome's powers. A Philosopher, Historian & Geographer. (TWO volumes complete in this lot).

We very rarely use "fine" or "mint" as a description, mainly due to the age and the fact that 99.9% of what we sell has been pre-owned and therefor Fine would not be a term for a book we sell despite its fine-like appearance. We always take items back unreservedly if not in the condition as described. We always try to describe fully.
