The Strand Magazine was a monthly British magazine founded by George Newnes, composed of short fiction and general interest articles. It was published in the United Kingdom from January 189 to March 1950, though the first issue was on sale well before Christmas 1890. The popularity of Sherlock Holmes became widespread after first appearing in the magazine in 1891. This set contains: Strand Vol. No. 112, Issue No. 670, 1946. With contributions from The Right Hon. In the original paper wraps. Externally, sound with light wear and chipping to the extremities. The odd small closed tear to the wrap edges with the odd small mark. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot or handling mark. The occasional crease to the page edges. Good.
