About the Author
He has obtained his BS Degree in Industrial Engineering from Penn State University, an MS Degree in Industrial Engineering from University of California-Berkeley and PhD Degree in Metallurgy from Penn State University, USA.
He has authored and co-authored many textbooks and over 100 technical papers. He has organized several industry sponsored training programmes in Cost Analysis and Cost Management for the benefit of professional engineers and managers working in industries.
Dr M Adithan is presently Senior Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Director, Academic Staff College, VIT University, Vellore, Tamil Nadu. He served at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras (Chennai) and National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh. He has also been a Visiting Professor in Manufacturing Engineering and Engineering Technology at Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah, USA, and at University of Technology, Malaysia. He was an UNESCO Fellow at Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, USA.
He has obtained his BE (Hons) (Mechanical Engineering), MSc (Production Engineering) from College of Engineering, Guindy, Chennai and PhD from IIT, Madras (Chennai).
He has published a number of research papers in national and international journals and is a co-author of several textbooks and other instructional materials.
