Strategies for Closing the Learning Gap (School Effectiveness)

This book has been written by teachers for teachers to:

highlight key issues emerging from recent discoveries about the brain
provide practical strategies that apply this new understanding in the classroom
help increase pupil motivation, improve learning and raise attainment.

Our understanding of the brain and the learning process is greater today than ever before. Strategies for Closing the Learning Gap applies this new knowledge and the resulting advances in learning approaches to the everyday classroom.

Presented in the same easy-to-read style as Mike Hughes' Closing the Learning Gap, this practical book is ideal for teacher to browse through during the lunch hour or non-contact periods.

With over 40 years' combined teaching experience and a wealth of knowledge gained through training and supporting schools across the country, Mike Hughes and Andy Vass provide a fund of effective down-to-earth ideas that have been successfully implemented and refined in the classroom.
