About the Author

Thomas D. Zweifel is a strategy & performance expert, professor and award-winning author. Since 1984 he has worked with CEOs and leaders of Fortune 500 companies, governments and the military to meet strategic imperatives. 1997-2013 he was CEO of Swiss Consulting Group, named a "Fast Company" by Fast Company magazine, and now serves on several company and nonprofit boards. Since 2001 he has taught leadership at Columbia University and St. Gallen University. Strategies based on his eight books are used by 30+ Fortune 500 companies. Born in Paris, Dr. Zweifel was educated in Switzerland and the US, where he received his Ph.D. from NYU. He is on the rosters of ten speaker bureaus and a frequent speaker in corporations and the media such as ABC, Bloomberg or CNN. In 1996 he realized his dream of breaking 3 hours in the New York City marathon, and in 1997 was "first finisher among CEO's who ran the NYC marathon." After living in Europe, Asia and North America, he is now based in Zurich, Switzerland (hopefully for good) with his wife and their two daughters.

Edward J. Borey is an experienced chairman, CEO and board member who has led growth and turnarounds in global companies from stagnation and losses to profitability, sustainability and self-reliance. He was Chairman and CEO of WatchGuard Technologies, CEO of PSC, and COO of Intermec. Throughout his 37-year career, Ed served in executive positions for Global 1,000 companies. Today Ed serves on the Board of Arotech. Prior public board experience includes WatchGuard, PSC, and MBrane. To give back, Ed serves as a Board Member for the Northwest Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors and has served on the Snohomish County YMCA Board of Trustees. Ed received his B.S. in Political Science from State University of New York, College at Oswego; a Master of Arts in Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma; and an MBA from Santa Clara University. He lives in the Seattle area with his wife Susan.
