Collated, complete.A collection of poems and sketches written during the author's service in the Dardanelles and after, having been wounded whilst serving with the 1st Bn. Border Regiment. Published "to swell, by its sale, the fund of that Battalion." With pieces such as: "To the Fallen Officers of the 34th," "The Naval Bombardment, Preceding the Landing, 25th April," "A Battle-Scarred Tree," and "A Broken Melody from Lemnos." In the publisher's original paper wraps. Externally, smart. Wraps disbound from text block. Slight rubbing and bumping to extremities resulting in the odd crease with one or two small closed tears. Slight discolouration to extremities. The odd very minor handling mark to wraps. Wraps disbound from text block, otherwise, internally, generally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with the odd light scattered spot, heavier to first and last few leaves. Good Only.
