Excerpt from The Street Sweeping and Fertilizing Co. Of Philadelphia, Incorporated by the State of Pennsylvania: Its Objects, Facilities, and Prospects of Operation in the City of Philadelphia, and Other Cities and Towns of the United States
Sweeping and Fertilizing Company, and by that name shall have perpetual succession, and be capable in law of holding and conveying such real and per sonal property, as may be necessary for the objects of this Company, may sue, and be sued, plead, and be impleaded, in all the courts of law and equity, may have a common seal, which they may alter and re new at pleasure, and may receive and execute, and deliver all such instruments of writing as may be necessary, and do such acts and things as may be necessary to assist and promote the objects and designs of this Company, namely, The sweeping and cleaning of streets and gutters by machinery, and manufacturing fertilizers.
