About the Author: Barry Lindley and Wayne Appleton are experts in the field of emergency response. Between them, they have over 60 years of experience and have responded to nearly 1000 significant HAZMAT incidents. They consult with Industrial Facilities, Government Agencies, fire departments, and numerous emergency response groups in hazardous materials chemistry, explosives, environmental monitoring, PPE selection, and hazardous materials handling safety. Barry has accumulated extensive hazardous materials response experience while serving as a Corporate Integrated Emergency Response and Chemical Incident Response Team leader for DuPont and Chemours. He holds a Master of Science in Analytical Chemistry and is an expert on environmental analysis, air dispersal of hazardous materials, and remediation methods. Wayne holds a doctorate in Physical Organic Chemistry and has experience in process development for organic chemicals, chemical analysis, and environmental chemistry. He is a recognized authority on environmental laws and regulations and is a frequent speaker at environmental conferences and before legislative committees.
