Language: English. About The Book: The present volume is an outcome of NISTADSFICCI joint workshop on issues related to Industry Research and Development (R&D) interactions. The workshop has provided a platform of interaction between researchers in Science and Technology studies and representatives of industries. Discussions revealed that IndustryR&D interaction is actually a means to strengthen technological capabilities of a developing country. This volume, therefore, has been rechristened to highlight the technological capability aspect of developing economies. About The Author: Shri Pradosh Nath, is working in National Institute of Science, Technology and Development Studies, (NISTANDS), New Delhi as a scientist. An economist by training, his research interest covers wide range of issues related to rural development and theoretical issues related to technological innovations, innovation Management etc. Dr. S. Visalakshi is a scientist, working in NISTANDS, New Delhi, with her Basic training in Biology, she has been involved in research related to development of Biotechnology in India, for more than a decade or so. She is particularly concentrating on issues like technology assessment, forecasting and transfer of this new technology.
