Stress Rescue (Paperback)

Stress Rescue is a concise but thorough analysis of stress as it applies to all individuals-those with and without mental illness. The authors have taken an understandably practical approach as they begin with the history and anthropological implications of stress in human development and working towards practical solutions to overcome stress and improve one's daily functioning. Dr. Paul's incorporation of exercise, nutrition, and proper sleep hygiene techniques is essential to the well-being of all adequately functioning persons. In my opinion, this book will prove valuable both to the layperson and to the mental health practitioner in the trenches with clients who are under the heavy weight of unbearable external forces. It should be required reading for all students entering the mental health field and even for those who have spent many years in the field. Psychiatry has long been awaiting a practical manual to assist those unduly affected by stress. Dr. Paul and Dr. Kamath had undoubtedly delivered on this need and promise.”
