1971. Reprint. ix, 511pp., frontispiece, 403 figures within the text, and a 28-page publisher's catalogue. Hortense Charlotte Anine Panum (1856-1933) was a Danish music historian who taught in the early 20th century at the Danish Folk University and the Royal Danish Academy of Music.
