The intensive cultivation and vertical and horizontal arrangements of plants provide a better use of light, water and other resources. The study shows that large and medium homegardens were found to be economically profitable.

About the Author

Mr. Harikrishnan C P completed graduation in B. Sc Forestry from Kerala Agricultural University. he has also worked as Technical Assistant in All India Coordinated Research Project on Agroforestry. Now he is working as Agricultural Specialist Officer in Canara bank.
