Structure and Design in Organizational Behaviour

An organization is a group of people who together work to achieve a common goal. Organizational design is defined as “the structures of accountability and responsibil- ity used to develop and implement strategies, and the human resource practices and infor- mation and business processes that activate those structures.” The book described the general idea behind the study of organiza- tional design is that organizations are more effective or successful when their structure supports the execution of corporate strate- gies.
