Structured Basic Applied To Technology

Perfect for students and readers with no prior programming experience, Structured BASIC Applied to Technology introduces structured programming through BASIC. The updated third edition contains numerous improvements designed to include the latest information available and enhance learning. Specifically, the text programs are compatible with most of the BASIC software products available today, such as QBASIC, GWBASIC, and BASICA. A free companion diskette includes all the programs in the book, thus allowing students to concentrate on running programs rather than typing them. A new chapter covers all the details necessary to perform file input and output in BASIC, while many new application programs expose students to the usefulness of BASIC in real-world situations.
These widely applauded authors present the concepts of structured programming through the comprehensible, easily understandable BASIC language. Seemingly effortlessly, they teach the valuable programming habits required by higher-level languages such as C or Pascal. The authors illustrate and explore new concepts by guiding readers through the clearest, most fundamental examples rather than bogging them down in mathematical complexities or technical details.
