Something in Amelia’s world has stopped separating.

Moments don’t begin or end the way they should. Movement doesn’t follow intention. Words arrive already formed—already decided—before she can claim them as her own. At first, it’s subtle. A shift in timing. A misalignment she can almost ignore. But the longer she stays inside it, the clearer it becomes:

Nothing is actually changing.
And yet nothing feels entirely hers anymore.

On the field, in conversation, in the silent space where thought should exist before action, the same pattern holds—unbroken, exact, impossible to step outside of. Every correction arrives before she can make it. Every version of what happened is replaced before it can settle. And no one questions it. They move with it. They speak through it. They remain perfectly aligned.

Amelia is the only one who feels the delay.
The only one who notices the shift.
