Synopsis

To coincide with the exhibition on the centenary of the birth of engineer Eduardo Torroja, it was deemed appropriate to publish his work "Las estructuras Eduardo Torroja" (Eduardo Torroja's Structures) in Spanish, a work that was originally published in English in 1958.

As Mario Salvadori points out in the prologue, this book offers, for the first time, a complete account of his remarkable professional career.

Structured in five main sections—shell structures, viaducts and aqueducts, special structures, metal and composite structures, and churches and chapels—the engineer himself describes thirty of his principal works, accompanied by drawings and photographs.
