About the Authors
Lisa Chapman Gregory is a certified strengths coach, has earned a Masters of Instructional Technology degree, and as she likes to say, she is "a doer of the word, not a hearer only." An owner of multiple small businesses with her husband Joe, Lisa has also worked and led others in companies of all sizes.Like you, Lisa has lots of complex situations and relationships to navigate. As a wife, stepmother, sister, sister-in-law, daughter, daughter-in-law, direct manager, employee, coach, entrepreneur, church member and community contributor, she has daily opportunities to coach herself and others. Through it all, she loves to make ideas practical and tactical. Her two favorite questions to ask herself and others are, "...therefore, what?" (i.e. so how does that impact what I/we/you do?) and "What's important about that?" (Purpose is powerful). As a coach, Lisa is as kind as she is powerful. And she believes that being kind means telling the truth even when it is hard to hear. She's the type of friend and thought partner you want in your life if you desire change and answers.A native of Northern Virginia in the United States, Lisa has lived in Boston, Jerusalem, Tokyo, New York City, Atlanta, and Washington DC. She and her husband now reside just outside Washington DC.
Dr. Steve Jeffs is a Master Coach, Business Psychologist and Entrepreneur. He is passionate about understanding how people can be at their best in work and in life. He earned his Doctorate in Leadership, is a deep thinker and always has more ideas he is mulling over than he can implement in a lifetime. As a coach, Steve works with senior organizational leaders, trains coaches with the Coactive Training Institute, and is the Director of Coaching with TheCoachingToolsCompany.com With a background in leadership development, Steve came to coaching because he saw that people were learning how to be better, but not implementing these ideas. They were stuck - stuck in expectations of how they saw themselves, and stuck in a need to look competent, capable and successful. Steve saw that unless it was safe to change, people would choose to stay stuck. If they could hide their weaknesses from others, they would, even if it meant frustration and pain for themselves and others. He now helps people change that for themselves through coaching.Steve has had a diverse career with roles in the Military, as a consultant, coach, entrepreneur, executive and investor. As an Australian, he works globally and has lived in Thailand, UAE and is now living outside London in the UK with his wonderful wife and three brilliant daughters.As a hobby, Steve loves extreme and technical SCUBA diving. He is inspired by the freedom, opportunity to explore, and the ability to enter a completely different world. More than this, SCUBA diving is based upon your readiness to save yourself. All the training is about giving you the knowledge to recognize what might happen, and to have the skills and tools to prevent, and recover. Just like diving, this book will help you to STOP, BREATHE and THINK, allowing you to be Stuck No More.
