Studies on the Red Book of the Exchequer - J.H Round M.A

This small monograph discusses the "Antiquity of Scutage" , "The Red Book of the Exchequer" and the medieval historian "Alexander Swereford." this is a book dedicated to historical scholars. Of interest is a letter included in the author's handwriting to a colleague and an inscription to him. We enter an acerbic academic debate on the Red Book of the Exchequer wherein Mr. Round declares his correctness! The book was previously owned by Mr. Hunt to whom the letter is addressed, was part of Trinity College Oxford Library and is one of only one hundred twenty copies printed privately.
