Dear Reader,
I wrote Study the Bible: Six Easy Steps to be your travel companion on the journey toward godliness. It is not merely a "how-to" book, but an entire program designed to nurture a closer relationship with God.
If you read this book, you will learn how to study your Bible. I have many testimonials that this book is easy to read and that it makes great sense.
I believe it is critical for you to practice what you've learned as quickly as possible. I've devoted nearly 50% of the book to helping you complete your first Bible study. Not only do I show you how to do it (step-by-step), but I walk alongside you and share my own thoughts and study notes so that if you get stuck, you can get inspiration for how to move forward.
But I don't leave you there. This book has the links to my website where you can get workbooks, recommendations for additional study tools and copies of templates that will help you simplify and organize your study time going forward.

Prior to reading your book I read Dwight Moody's book How To Study The Bible. Although it was inspiring it did not give me the tools I was looking for to gain an attainable grasp on study. I have been going through various studies by a number of different authors with a group of 8-12 women over the past 3 years. It's been my prayer for well over a year to encourage my little group to study without the benefit of an author prompting us. But the group was hesitant, not feeling confident in undertaking the task on their own. We did various word studies and topic studies for a few months, but they still weren't sure they wanted the personal responsibility of studying without the guidance of a book.
