This gorgeous quilting project book speaks to today's quilting enthusiasts — those who love both traditional inspiration and modern style!
Join a trio of quilting experts as they show you how to infuse a more modern aesthetic into your quilts. Authors Kiley Ferons, Megan Saenz, and Elyse Thompson present 20 quilting projects featured in the pages of Modish Quilter — from small projects for the home and quilted wall hangings to statement-making bed quilts — each piece celebrates the trend of modern quilt design.
Decorative and statement quilts as well as projects for your home are included in the 20 stunning pieces. Each project includes full-size or easily resizable templates, step-by-step instructions including materials lists, fabric requirements, and pattern guidelines. Smaller quilt projects such as accents pillows allow you to strengthen your skills as you progress towards larger, more design intensive designs. Patterns are organized by purpose — smaller home projects, decorative pieces, and statement quilts — followed by information on adding tabs, binding, quilt care, and display.
The authors brought this carefully selected collection of patterns together with expert quilting advice and tutorials designed to infuse your life with the unique sense of style that is a modern quilter's home. Whether you're a new or seasoned quilter, you'll appreciate the call-out sections and tutorials for specialized quilting skills and techniques including couching, rope sewing, English paper piecing, appliqué, reverse appliqué, and how to make specific traditional blocks.
This bright, clean, and fresh collection comes to you from Modish Quilter and a talented group of contributors who blend their lives with a quilting passion.

Kiley Ferons Editor-in-Chief and founder of Modish Quilter Magazine, Kiley Ferons has been quilting since 2011, when she was pregnant with her first child and decided to make her a quilt. She quickly fell in love with the art form and evolved her hobby into a longarming business in 2015. In 2020, she began designing and writing her own quilt patterns and, in 2023, published her first book, Modern Day Quilter. She also designs fabric for Moda. Megan Saenz Co-editor and photographer of Modish Quilter Magazine, Megan Saenz bought her first sewing machine when she was pregnant with her first baby so she could make baby clothes. In 2019, she was introduced to quilting and quickly fell in love. She loves using bright, fun colors with modern designs. Elyse Thompson Modish Quilter Magazine's art director, graphic artist, and illustrator Elyse Thompson fell into the world of graphic design by luck. While not a quilter herself, she grew up in the quilting world and merged her love of art with quilting through the magazine. Her favorite part of quilting is choosing the color scheme and patterns that help shape the look and feel of the quilt.
