About the Author
Né en 1950, Didier Convard débute comme dessinateur et crée plusieurs personnages dont Isabelle Fantouri, animée à quatre mains avec André Juillard. Il crée Cranach de Morganloup avec Jean-Luc Vernal dans Tintin en 1982. Aux éditions Glénat, il succède à François Bourgeon sur Brunelle et Colin. Il écrit et dessine Les Héritiers du Soleil dans Vécu et Chats dans Circus (publiée en albums chez Glénat puis Dargaud). Scénariste, il écrit Neige pour Christian Gine dans Tintin puis pour Glénat, Fripounet et Marisette pour Gremet, Mathieu Lamy et Last de nouveau pour Gine, adapte Sherlock Holmes pour Pierre Brochard. En 1995 il publie Editnalta chez Dargaud où il écrit Polka pour Siro et Le Dernier Chapitre pour André Juillard. De retour chez Glénat, il écrit Toussaint pour François Dermaut. C'est en 2000 qu'il publie le premier tome de la célèbre série ésotérique Le Triangle Secret, dessinée par plusieurs auteurs. Il propose Finkel pour Gine et Rogon Le Leu pour Chabert chez Delcourt. Il continue l’exploration des méandres du Triangle Secret, avec I.N.R.I., Hertz, Les Gardiens du Sang et Lacrima Christi. Il écrit également Le Protocole du tueur pour Denis Falque, le magnifique polar historique Vinci, l’Ange brisé pour Gilles Chaillet, Tanâtos pour Jean-Yves Delitte, et lance une nouvelle série d'aventure au charmé délicieusement rétro pour Jean-Christophe Thibert : Kaplan & Masson. En 2010, il fait renaître sa série culte Neige sous le trait de Didier Poli et Jean-Baptiste Hostache. À partir de 2012, Didier Convard signe également avec Éric Adam le scénario d'albums autour du patrimoine historique français : Panthéon, le tombeau des dieux endormis, Le Pendule de Foucault, Versailles, ainsi que Vercingétorix (collection « Ils ont fait l'Histoire ») et Marco Polo (collection « Explora »). Aux Arènes il écrit la série Les Années rouge & noir.
Didier Convard collabore avec Pierre Boisserie, Éric Adam et Chantal Chaillet sur Roma, une ambitieuse fresque historique et mythologique sur l'éternité de Rome initiée par le regretté Gilles Chaillet. Les deux premiers tomes (dessinés respectivement par Régis Penet et Luca Erbetta) paraissent en 2015.
En 2020 débute la série L'Epopée de le Franc-Maçonnerie qui retrace en 12 tomes l'histoire des Francs-Maçons. En plus de scénariser certains tomes, il en est le directeur d'ouvrage. Depuis 2022, il collabore également avec Denis Falque sur la série Rectificando.
Il a également publié plusieurs romans chez Fayard : Disparitions, Le Triangle Secret, Les Cinq Templiers de Jésus, Vinci et l'Ange Brisé, Michelangelo et le Banquet des Damnés. Réside près de Paris.
Pierre Wachs a participé à tous les volumes du Triangle Secret ainsi qu’I.N.R.I., avec Didier Convard. Il s’attaque plus tard à Secrets Bancaires avec Philippe Richelle. Chez Casterman, il publie Opération : Vent Printanier et Libre de choisir. Il poursuit sa collaboration avec Richelle sur Les Mystères de la Troisième République, puis avec Les Guerriers de Dieu. En 2021, il participe à la série-concept L’Épopée de la Franc-Maçonnerie de Didier Convard puis travaille sur la série Affaires d'Etat. En 2023, il retrouve Philippe Richelle pour un roman graphique à mi-chemin entre le récit historique et le polar, Le Grand Soir, qui revisite l’histoire de trois jeunes dans la gauche engagée des années 1970. Réside en Alsace.
Denis Falque se forme aux exigences du dessin à l’école Émile Cohl. Après un passage en agence de publicité, il fait le grand saut vers la bande dessinée. Avec le scénariste Corbeyran, il signe en 1994 la série d’humour Graindazur, avant d’explorer un registre plus onirique avec Le Fond du Monde à partir de 1997. En collaboration avec Philippe Bonifay, il crée ensuite Jane chez Casterman. Sa carrière prend un tournant décisif lorsque Didier Convard et les éditions Glénat font appel à lui pour illustrer la période contemporaine du Triangle Secret. Il enchaîne ainsi les cycles majeurs de la saga : I.N.R.I., Les Gardiens du Sang, puis Lacrima Christi. Aux côtés de Convard, il réalise également Le Protocole du Tueur (2007-2008), et participe à la série chorale L’Épopée de la franc-maçonnerie. Entre 2021 et 2026, il réalise le spin-off du Triangle Secret et travaille sur Rectificando, un polar en 5 tomes en collaboration avec Didier Convard. Réside à Lyon.
Paul a d’abord été coloriste sur Le Triangle Secret, INRI, Le Protocole du Tueur, avant de dessiner l’album Petite Mort en un acte en 2009 et L'Assassin du Père Noël avec Didier Convard et Éric Adam au scénario.
