~ Why Have We Been Subjected to Life?

Daniel J. Sayer weighs loss, life, and learning, when a mysterious individual shows up at different points of his journey and begins addressing some of those “Big Universe” questions Daniel’s been asking.

----------------------------------------------------------

Daniel Jeremy Sayer has gone through more than his share of pain, loss, and frustration. Which leads him to ask some “Big Universe” questions: Why have we been subjected to this life? What on Earth is happening? Why the big mystery? Is anyone out there even listening?

When the answers start coming, in the form of a mysterious, seemingly benign, yet oddly inane individual from another dimension—Alien, or Angel, he’s not sure which—Daniel suddenly begins to question whether he really wants to know the answers after all.

Through tragedy, loss, coincidence and consequence; through frustration, anger, courage and faith, along with a touch of humility and humor; Daniel Jeremy Sayer unexpectedly finds himself being shown the metaphysical edge of human existence, whether he wants to see it, or not.

Thematic content and style of G. F. Smith’s writing is a contemporary cross between the Twilight Zone®, and the X-Files®, with respectable portions of self-effacing humor and non-proselytizing abstract curiosity carefully weaved in for balanced measure.

G. F. SMITH SUBJECTED (the entire three-book series) explores a topic that has been considered extraordinarily controversial throughout humanity’s history: Creation and Evolution; Science and Religion; God and Aliens, Life and Purpose, etc. First and foremost, I did not write these books to propagate, promulgate, proselytize, or in any other way, preach the supremacy of any one perspective. I’m truly just a humble, genuine man with more questions than answers. I do suppose though, to quote the books that, “Life has its reasons…” I think, and it is deeply related throughout the entire series, that there is more going on than what we know. We all came from somewhere, and the flow of Time is apparently taking us somewhere. Where is that? I don’t know, exactly. But, I do believe the following: We (all those science guys, actually) have discovered that everything is made of energy and lives in a universe of the extremely BIG: quadrillion, trillion, gazillion Stars, Galaxies, Clusters, Nebulae, Black Holes, etc., which exist in an envelope of space that is not only apparently growing, but accelerating in its expansion. We have also discovered a universe of the small, which, in and of itself, appears to contain just as many sub-components as the big universe has large ones. And we, mysteriously, have found ourselves smack in the middle, looking up, and looking down, consciously considering it all as we scratch our little heads asking Why. The Amazing part…is that we learned all of this through our little three-and-a-half-pound brains. Wow! How’d we do that? Which has led me to think that…there’s more to us than just these little three-and-a-half-pound brains. ---------------- < O > ---------------- (G. F.
