An inspired guide to sustaining compassion.
The Buddha taught the practices of loving kindness, compassion, empathetic joy, and equanimity. These guide us in cultivating positive emotions and minimising harmful ones. Poet, writer, activist, mentor, and Buddhist teacher River Wolton gives new life to these teachings as resources for a life in which compassion for self and others are mutually sustaining. Beautifully illustrated and with exercises, meditations, and reflections

Emma Burleigh is an artist, illustrator, comics creator and teacher. She is the author of two art course books, ‘Soul Colour’ and ‘Earth Colour’, which are designed to nurture mindfulness, creativity and nature connectedness.
After experiencing burnout as an activist and school-teacher in her twenties, Emma ended up at Gaia House where she fell in love with the potential of dharma practice to transform her world at both the personal and collective level.
Emma first met River Wolton through a friend at Gaia House, and soon after that they decided to work together, exploring ways of combining River's words with Emma's images. This book is their third collaboration.
