Success Is Yours, No Excuses: A Coach's Perspective

Do you feel like your life has been on autopilot lately? Do you feel like you’re stuck in some sort of rut, going through the motions day by day? Are you having trouble sticking to goals and habits that are important to you? Better yet, are you where you want to be in life? If not, then why not?

Life is full of potential reasons why people don’t, won’t, or can’t, achieve their goals and dreams. They are called excuses, and we all have made them at some point. Making an excuse is an attempt to lessen the blame, justify, or defend why we fell short of an accomplishment. Finding reasons why we can’t or won’t do something is easy. On the other hand, setting achievable goals and sticking to the plan is the hard part.

Why do some people achieve their goals while others fail to accomplish the simplest of tasks? One’s mental approach makes the difference. People who don’t achieve their goals give up, make excuses, and settle for less than they want in life. Others reach their desired destination due to their grit, determination, and perseverance.
