1st ed. Tall 8vo. xi,337pp. Illus throughout. Comprises two volumes - "Down to the Sea" which deals with the author's days at sea in both sail and steam and "In Durance Vile" which tells of his experiences, and those of his colleagues, in a German raider, a couple of prison ships, and then as a POW in Japan. A very nice copy apart from a small puncture mark to the front board also affecting the dw. It is a heavy book which will probably incur additional postal charges to the Abe estimate. 1 872017 63 0.
