Add to basketCloth-backed pictorial paper boards. Folio. Dust jacket mirroring cover design. Presumed first edition. Illustrated with 12 full-page color plates and many black & white illustrations by Fern Bisel Peat. A collection of 8 children's poems by Field, including "The Dinkey Bird" and "Wynken, Blynken, and Nod" with lovely color plates by Peat. A very good copy with some wear to the cover edges and corners. The cover illustrations are bright and unworn. The text is very good with some light foxing to some of the margins. The upper right page corners of the first poem (The Sugar-Plum Tree) are a bit "dinged" and creased, affecting 2 of the color plates. The elusive jacket is good with some chipping and soiling. It has a 2-inch closed tear at the bottom of the front panel and some small chips missing from the spine tips and upper front cover corner. A scarce book in the jacket.
