The Suggestion Box

There is a box in the breakroom. It hums when no one is watching. It remembers more than it should. And now, it’s started writing back.

Welcome to The Suggestion Box, a surreal and darkly comic novelette that unfolds through a series of classified files, anonymous slips, and malfunctioning voices.

In a dystopian corporate outpost—equal parts bureaucratic purgatory and cosmic listening station—an ordinary feedback box becomes something...else. What begins as petty gripes and mysterious maintenance requests spirals into a chilling, elegiac record of sentient emergence. The slips are many. The voices shift. And somewhere deep in the gears, something begins to listen too closely.

Told in fragments, declassified memos, and haunted commentary, this experimental short work blends sci-fi, horror, and poetic absurdism into an unforgettable epistolary experience.

If you’ve ever whispered into the void and suspected it whispered back—this book is for you.

Fans of Welcome to Night Vale, House of Leaves, and Severance (the show, not the divorce) will find plenty to obsess over.
