cm. 16, cc. (8) 344. Marchio tip. in xilografia a frontespizio e colophon. Leg. settecentesca in mezza perg. con tit. ms. al dorso. Alcune antiche firme di possesso ms. al frontespizio. Esemplare in buono stato di conservazione. Bartolomeo Carranza (1503-1576) fu arcivescovo di Toledo e teologo di grande reputazione in tutta Europa. Inviato da Carlo V nel 1546 al concilio di Trento ebbe modo di compilare quest'importante raccolta di fonti conciliari. Carranza, in seguito alla pubblicazione di un contestatissimo catechismo, venne perseguito dall'inquisizione spagnola ed incarcerato per dieci anni, trascorsi i quali fu assolto per poi morire dopo soli 17 giorni.
