An extremely scarce printing of what was considered the first and most thorough analysis of the entirety of Britain s North American colonies. Second British imprint of the 1755 first printing. William Douglass (1691-1752) was a Boston pamphleteer and physician who is known for his sparring with Cotton Mather, particularly during the 1721 smallpox epidemic in Boston, where Mather proposed vaccination and Douglass opposed it. A wonderful pair for restoration and rebinding.
