Illustrated wrappers, mended at gutters and chipping at edges. 166 pp, colored folding map of the northeastern United States. Printed on very thin, poor paper throughout, including the large map which has mended tears along folds and minor loss from chipping. Overall, this volume is quite fragile due to the quality of the paper. The text largely contains the itineraries of various excursions for summer travel on the Pennsylvania Railroad. It also contains 20 full-page uncolored maps, most with little detail, of towns along these routes, including: Atlantic City, Barnegat Village and Bay, Beach Haven, Cape May City, Long Branch, Ocean Grove and Asbury Park New Jersey, Altoona, Bedford, Bellefonte and Gettysburg Pennsylvania, Niagara Falls, Saratoga Springs, Sharon Springs and Watkins Glen New York (along with a map of the area between Toronto and Buffalo), Bar Harbor Maine, The White Mountains, Narragansett Pier and Newport Rhode Island, and White Sulphur Springs West Virginia. We have seen several different annual editions of this Excursion Route guide, but this is the only one with the town plans.
