Summer Solutions Reading Comprehension Level 3

Summer Solutions 3rd Grade Reading Comprehension is for students entering 4th grade. Without ongoing practice, literacy skills lag over the summer break. However, students can bridge the summer learning gap with 3rd Grade Reading Comprehension. All educational standards require children leaving Grade 3 to read grade-level text, demonstrate understanding of key details in a text by answering related questions, describe actions of story characters, show relationships between cause and effect, sequence story events, identify main ideas, and increase vocabulary and read more complex material. Using the summer workbook, students complete 30 lessons of mixed review over a 10-week period, and this ongoing practice ensures retention of literacy skills and concepts covered in third grade. Additional skills in the workbook include using context clues to develop vocabulary, solving analogies, making inferences, predicting outcomes, determining cause and effect, and understanding an author’s purpose. By completing just one lesson three days a week, students enter fourth grade ready to begin learning new material right away.
