About the Author

John Palmer, a reference librarian in the Local History and Genealogy Room of the St. Joseph County Public Library prior to his retirement, is a member of the Northern Indiana Historical Society, the South Bend Area Genealogical Society, and the Support the Fort Group, Inc.
