"The Sunflower Cook Book seems to be meeting a long felt want During these hot days housekeepers are always anxious to learn or cool, easily prepared deserts and salads which we understand this convenient little book supplies in abundance. It also contains a great many receipts for fancy dishes such as we used at high-toned luncheons and receptions, which everybody is desirous of serving on her own menu but for which she often finds it difficult to obtain the receipt. There are also well tested receipts for pickles of various kinds, such as man goes and the like, not found in the regulation cook book and which can not fail to be useful at this season of the year." (from the Lawrence Daily Journal, July 1888). Seller Inventory # J32317
