Sunflowers to Shea Butter

From the warmth of Shea Butter on skin to early-morning inspiration, Sunflowers to Shea Butter celebrates the muses who move the pen, the heart, and the imagination.

This contemporary Black queer poetry collection explores sapphic love, devotion, sensuality, healing, and emotional transformation through the lens of Black womanhood and queer intimacy. Rooted in free verse, confessional poetry, spiritual imagery, astrology and erotic tenderness, these poems capture both the sacred and human sides of queer connection while tracing the experience of loving another woman deeply enough to be changed by it.

Moving through themes of Black feminine softness, divine feminine energy, vulnerability, desire, emotional safety, and healing through love, the collection blends sensuality, spirituality, longing, and devotion into an intimate portrait of queer affection and becoming.
