About the Author

Gary Lezak is a six-time Emmy Award-winning meteorologist and has two big passions in life – the weather and his dogs, both key inspirations for this story. The former chief meteorologist at KSHB-TV (NBC 41 Action News) in Kansas City, he brought the City of Fountains their most accurate weather forecasts for almost three decades.
