Like a Sunset Over de Gully: A journey from boy to man, in the land of the sea and sand. (Journey to the Centre of his You-We-Verse) (Volume 1)

1980. A boy is born, with dreams and questions too big for his head. Like a Sunset Over de Gully chronicles his journey from boy to man in Barbados: the land of the Sea and Sand. It is a Literary anagram: its pages and pieces whimsically rearranging to paint a myriad pictures of Caribbean masculinity. Fucking, Love, Relationships, Abortion, Drugs, Family... This book addresses each of these, and more. No censorship. No pretense. Everything you've ever wanted to know or see, is filtered here...through a man's eyes.

Corey Springer is a musician, a pianist, a vocalist, a NIFCA-medal-winning performer and, literally, a lover of all things literary. He is also a potty-mouth, with an ill-fitting gold cape that lent him absolutely no superpowers... much to his disappointment. This Barbadian author embraces expression without limitation.
