32 pages (ii + Title page + 29). Size 18.5 x 12cm approx. Condition; Original Hardback binding very good. Contents very good, clean & tight, no inscription, just ageing/foxing to endpages front/rear that maybe from glue used in binding, undated but most likely 1907, Westminster Library has this 2nd edition and date it as 1883, which is wrong and they were only called Royal Doulton in/from 1901, other institutions have 1907 or 1908. The book is about the 14 panels designed terracotta panels with 14 full page illustrations of each panel, that was made by Tinworth at Royal Doulton and in the collection of Doulton themselves at Lambeth. We think this little book may not have been for sale, but published by Doulton as a gift. Also free with this is a printed halftone of a statute that we believe Tinworth may have been involved with, it has edge and corner folds to both sides.The rear page states this book was printed by Percy Lund, Humphries & Co. George Tinworth went on to the Royal Academy Schools in 1864, winning various medals, he also exhibited at the Royal Academy as well as being one the most famous Doulton artists. Very rare little book, unable to find another copy for sale and only a few listed in Libraries on WorldCat. One of 3 items direct from his family we have for sale. Seller Inventory # 003532
