America is home to some of the greatest buildings ever constructed. Not just mighty mighty monuments and stunning skyscrapers but buildings that are exciting, extraordinary, and sometimes even outrageous. From East to West and North to South these gigantic structures have conquered a continent and defined the American way of life. In this book, we celebrate the brilliant architects, the inventive engineers, and the brave workers who together built the buildings that say AMERICA.

"Both books are inviting to read because they include many illustrations and diagrams to explain concepts. They cover topics of interest to many kids and would be good to use with middle school students who read below grade level...This series provides good sources for working with a class on reading informational text and of interest to at-risk students. It was published in collaboration with The Learning Channel. Recommended."
