Book 2 in the Superintendent’s Playbook Series
If you’re a construction superintendent — or working your way into the role — this book will transform the way you run your jobsites.
Building on the success of The Superintendent’s Playbook, this second volume dives deeper into the real systems, documentation tools, communication skills, and leadership habits that separate average superintendents from elite, highly respected ones. Written in straight “field language” and packed with real jobsite examples, this book gives you practical, immediately usable tools to run more organized, efficient, and professional construction projects.
Whether you supervise luxury custom homes, commercial work, or multifamily construction, this book will help you build confidence, streamline workflow, and lead your teams like a true professional.
Inside This Book, You Will Learn How To:
✔ Build and maintain submittal logs that actually keep material delays off your schedule
✔ Write clean, clear RFIs that get fast responses and prevent rework
✔ Communicate with subcontractors in a way that earns respect and drives accountability
✔ Strengthen your partnership with project managers, architects, and engineers
✔ Lead professional owner and client communication, even under pressure
✔ Develop and maintain a master project schedule with superintendent-level insight
✔ Create powerful 3-Week Look-Ahead schedules that drive field coordination
✔ Organize your documentation so your project is defensible, efficient, and predictable
✔ Build a professional superintendent identity through leadership, composure, and consistency
Each chapter is written with clarity and real-world experience. Every template, example, checklist, and system is designed to help you run your job like a true professional superintendent.
What Makes This Book Different?
This isn’t theory.

-
Clear examples
-
Superintendent-tested workflows
-
Real field language
-
Practical communication tips

Forms, templates, and checklists
You won’t find fluff. You’ll find the systems that make real superintendents great.

Store description
**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book.
