MacMillan Company, New York, 1917, third edition revised and enlarged, 240 pages, author preface to 3rd edition, introduction, profusely illustrated in b&w with explanatory drawings - many full page - and a number of photos, 5.5 in. x 8 in., hardcover, maroon cloth with gilt titles, corners and spine ends lightly bumped and worn, very slight edge wear, small (1 in.) frayed area on fore-edge of front cover (a tiny bit of board visible), slight crease in cloth at top of spine, covers very faintly scuffed, former owners’ names on front free endpapers (one is small and written in ink, one is a stamp), 3 very small check-marks in Table of Contents, endpapers and pages faintly age-toned, otherwise contents clean and tight, book good+ {Near the back of this volume is laid in a copy of a portion of the University of the State of New York’s 97th Veterinary Examination, dated June 24, 1919. (This is now protected in a clear plastic sleeve.)} G+ 4504 [Hho0713EC].

Store description

Librarium (a Latin word meaning "bookcase") is a second-hand bookstore in upstate New York. We have been selling books since 1979. We have an open shop and browsers are always welcome. You may want to call before you come for hours and/or directions. We are 2-1/2 hours from both New York City and Boston, less than 5 minutes from the northernmost exit on the Taconic Parkway and exit B2 on the Berkshire Extension of the Mass Pike, not far from Albany NY and Pittsfield MA. We have a large general hardcover stock with some trade paperbound titles and paperbacks. We have a good selection of children's books but also have something in almost every subject, fiction and non-fiction. There is also a barn full of books, most of which are $2.00 and under, for browsing in the summertime only.
