Survival 101: A Guide to Staying Afloat in the Deep Waters of Life

"Survival 101 is like no self-help book I've ever come across. Rather than well-meaning platitudes, the book is full of solid, practical advice for rebuilding a life, from the ground up if necessary. Alai's voice is perpetually understanding and optimistic, reminding us that even at the worst of times, there is some way forward, even if it may not be easy to see." - Jo Niederhoff, San Francisco Book Review

Victoria Alai has taken her own struggle to survive, together with over thirty years of helping others do the same, to distill ideas, tips, and beliefs that can take you from survival to a happy, abundant, and free place in your life, all with the hope that you can do it faster than she did.
Blending anecdotal life moments with expert observation, Victoria Alai combines many schools of thought into a comprehensive guide for her readers. The book is a modern take on going from surviving to thriving by transforming one's mindset from scarcity to abundance.
Throughout the book, Victoria beautifully blends her own life experiences with expert schools of thought, using her own life experience as a model. The book not only shows how to meet your basic needs but how to be genuinely happy and at peace, by creating a plan for emotional, physical, and mental well-being.
