About the Author
In 1991 Rizzo became the first traffic reporter to routinely supply alternate routes on a daily basis when he joined the popular "Ken and Barkley" talk show on 790 KABC radio. Rizzo subsequently worked as a traffic reporter for Metro Traffic and Air Traffic (now, Air Watch America).
Always in search of ways to improve traffic conditions, Rizzo helped design comprehensive ridesharing plans on a national basis during the mid-nineties, and his 2004 primary bid for Congress in California's 44th District was for the sole purpose of facilitating a new freeway route to help commuters along the 91 Freeway. Rizzo is currently a member of Traffic Information People, a CHP/Caltrans/media interface group.
Rizzo's education includes certificates in employee transportation coordination, a credential in Transportation Demand Management from UCLA, and a doctorate in podiatric medicine.
