Neither exhaustive nor comprehensive, the dryly witty collection offers sly entertainment along with its collocation of information that exerts a particularly grim appeal. Deeds are recounted, motivations noted, and names named. Many of the deeds were done hopefully, to please a specific god or guru, and others were committed by clergy or their ilk.
