This is volume 48 of the Sussex Record Society's printed works and considers the town of Lewes between the years 1542-1701. Before the writing of this volume the records of Lewes had be meagre, especially before the nineteenth century and this volume aimed to redress this imbalance.Four plates of illustrations.Collated, complete. In full morocco binding. Externally, very smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and the extremities and some fading to the joints. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. The front and rear free endpaper are slightly discoloured. Very Good Indeed. Seller Inventory # 818B32
