Virdi author of the book conducted nearly 200 training and demo programmes in rural and tribal areas and has already introduced several technologies in Central India. It may be mentioned that R&D institutions of the country have developed a large number of rural technologies. In this book effort has been made to select some sustainable technologies developed by various Laboratories and Institutes of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research Indian Council of Agricultural Research well known NGOs and others as its is difficult to incorporate all the technologies.
