Sweet Hour of Praise, Volume VII: Threads of Light

In a world where information is abundant yet often vague, incomplete, fragmented, unreliable, and even false or fake, the idea of "Threads of Light" offers reflective metaphors for understanding divine truth and human experience. These threads, as described in thirty poems, each with an expositional essay, explore principles and doctrines that illuminate our path, guiding the reader toward a life of faith and purpose. Each theme addressed in the book deals not with merely abstract concepts but the very fabric of our spiritual and moral existence, weaving together the tapestry of our behavior.

Just as a tapestry is woven from many threads, so too is the community of believers united by shared doctrines and principles. These threads connect us to one another and to God. In an ever-darkening world where division and discord are prevalent, these threads of enlightenment remind us of the unity found in divine truth and the strength that comes from shared beliefs.

Threads of Light is the seventh volume in the series "Sweet Hour of Praise." Like others in the series, it is a book of Judeo-Christian meditations written in a poem-and-essay format. Themes include happiness, spiritual healing, hope, parenthood, marriage, personal change, motivation, grace, self-reliance, and liberty. Each chapter can be read in about ten minutes and, hopefully, "pondered forever."
